Spring 2022
Identifying La Tourette Monastery, designed by Le Corbusier, and gaining an understanding of the program and organization allowed for the reconstruction of that space into a vertical orientation. This, along with a study of traditional architectural archetypes, then motivated the following massing schemes. By identifying desireable organization of program, circulation needs, and ideal connections to the ground and sky, the project responds to the site and program by catering to these needs through orientation, organization, and variation. Creating a frontality to the form and an open connection on the ground floor allows for ideal urban activity.

This adaptive reuse project is located in the Ex Cartiera Antica, an abandoned paper mill.

Designed for the Italian fashion company flavialarocca, Pigment is an Eco Fashion Research Center which centers around the process of hand dying natural fabrics with sustainable dyes. The goal of this client is to create a modular and sustainable interior which is cohesive with their own design intent, while also providing enough contrast to emphasize their designs during an exhibition. The themes of this project are modularity, contrast, process, grid, and stain.

Stemming from the words fuse and web, the idea of attachment developed. This idea developed not just in how we connect clothing or material, but in how we connect to eachother. Connect digitally. Connect emotionally. How our minds connect different ideas. This idea of attachment sparked designs which wrap while they expose. That conceal but also reveal. That are layered but singular.

Fall 2021


The project is located in the Flamino
neighborhood of Rome within the MAXXI Café. The initial site analysis involved a critical look at the existing column grid, apetures,
symmetry, and the existing structural elements within the space, as well as the surrounding green spaces.&#38;nbsp; O
ur client is the Italian
National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (also known as
ISPRA), who’s goal is to utilize their research and funding to create a venue for community outreach through the means of a used bookstore.&#38;nbsp;

Fall 2021

Our studies found themes of symmetry, proportion, and relationships between spaces. The sequences and scalar relationships made these spaces that much more captivating. Ideas of arrival sequence, framing views, forced perspective and others were studied in this semester long course taking place all throughout the urban fabric of ancient Rome.

Inspired by Persian Culture and dancing, as well as a classic prism, this space is bold and dynamic, with the use of geometry and color to create visual distinction of spaces. The interior developed into a space which utilizes angular movement, green space, and a prismatic lighting technique.&#38;nbsp; These elements create visual distinction and energy which enriches the workplace provides adequate variety for the various methods of work.

This space was designed as a community center for women healing from Intimate Partner Violence withing the Northwest Arkansas area, and was inspired by the idea of the ripple effect. The overlapping demographic of lower income individuals with college students represents a high percentage of the women facing I.P.V. This project was selected to represent the Fay Jones Interior Design program in the Gensler Brinkmann Scholarship Competition.

The idea that we can improve our living, change the ideas of our society, and create and form a work of art from seemingly nothing. All done within the reformation of an existing building, Reform seeks to be a basepoint for all of these things. 
As a community for LGBTQ seniors with an interest in ceramic production, as this project is intended to create not only comfort and inspire- but also to provide the safety and freedom that these individuals need so that they can truly age with pride.

Color Study
Fall 2020


Part of a series of color studies, this bathhouse uses an analogous color scheme to create a sauna-like atmosphere. The ceiling jets down upon entrance, then back up again to create a mass in the center, suspended between two delicate apertures. The angular nature of the building allows visitors to feel that they are descending down into space.
